Location and space

The Underground Event Venue is located in Downtown Flat Rock. The space offers an Old Detroit feel that is  swanky and moody.  4200sqft basement,ADA accessible with a platform lift, with seated capacity of 130 guests.

 

Where are you located?

  • We are located at 28771 Telegraph, Flat Rock, MI 48134 next to 5/3rd bank.  Parking is within the block of Gibraltar and Huron River. 

What furnishings are included in my rental?

  • 7 6ft round tables, 6 6ft wooden tables, 7 8ft rectangular tables and 120 black bentwood chairs or 150 black resin folding chairs and green velvet booth that rounds along a wall for extra seating chairs. 
  • 75 inch TV which could play a VHS or other video provided by renter. 

A black baby grand piano that can be used for gifts or a dessert table.

 Six bar height cocktail tables.

Bar seating 14 with black velvet chair with refrigeration to house your beverages.

House music played off an iPad to play off Spotify playing off house speakers. Mic set that is rented for an extra cost 

Use of gaming room which will include board games, cards and lounging area. Arcade games are an additional charge of $150 per event which can be set to FREE or set to off. 

          We offer some table décor, table runners beverage dispensers, chaffing dishes and dessert displays all included.          

Prep kitchen with 3 compartment sink, fridge, microwave, serving utensils and ice machine. 

You can design and bring in your own menu and food of your choice. 

Is your building wheelchair accessible? 

  • Yes! The Underground is ADA compliant. We do not have a lift that can take wheelchairs or carts down the stairs. We have two ADA compliant restrooms. 

 

What are your hours of operation? 

  • We are by appointment only. Contact us if you could like a tour or have other questions.  

Items not allowed are glitter, taping items to the wall, real candles.

What are the prices for add ons?

  • The cost for the linens is $10.00/pc. 
  • Additional Hours $100/hr
  • Use of Glassware $100

What is the cleanup policy?

We expect to get the hall back in the way it was given to you!

Please make sure to take all food and drinks you brought.

Large spills must be cleaned.

Displays used must be washed.

All decor items borrowed must be on one table. 

        

What is your cancellation policy

  • If the user opts to cancel event at any point between date of deposit to 30 days prior to event then all money will be refunded. 
  • Notice of 30 days or less from date of event will result in a forfeiture of the rental fees and security deposit which will not be refunded. 

When can I tour the space?

  • We are happy to show you around! Just fill out the “book a tour” form on our page to get in touch with us to schedule your tour.

      

How do I book a date for my event?

  • Get in touch with us and we will walk you through it! A $250 non refundable  retainer fee is due to secure your date. Your balance will be due 14 days prior to your event. We accepts checks, money orders, and cash.  The $250 is held until after the event for damages.
